Remove Cat Urine Smell From Carpet

The good news is the most of the time, you can most of the time, you can treat a carpet for the cat urine smell.

The important question to ask yourself is:  Has the cat urine had a chance to sink through the carpet pad and saturate floor.

If the flooring under the carpet is saturated with cat urine, the only way to get that smell taken care of is to pull of the carpet (and most likely replace it) to allow the flooring to dry and treat the flooring for the cat urine smell.  The wet flooring will keep the smell coming back even if you treat the stain on the carpet.

If the cat urine is just in the carpet you can remove the cat urine smell by using OdorXit concentrate.

  1. Get a carpet cleaning machine and clean the carpet.
  2. Then apply OdorXit in combination with the carpet shampoo (2-3 ounces of OdorXit per gallon)with a sprayer.   This way the shampoo helps the OdorXit penetrate deeply into the carpet nap and padding and the carpet cleaning machine does not remove all the OdorXit Concentrate.

And you will have a great smelling carpet.  Enjoy!
